Roadrunner

Found on the outskirts of Rocking K, this male Greater Roadrunner arrived at
ESWC in critical condition. He was weak, severely underweight, and had a bruised
abdomen suggesting he was hit by a car. It was touch and go for a few days; he had to be force-fed. Finally he began to eat and was able to stand.

He gained weight and strength steadily and was soon bouncing around his outdoor pen. Thirty days from the day he came in, once more on the outskirts of Rocking K, he shot out of a carrier
like a bullet, dashed 30 yards, up and over a fence, onto a boulder, where he paused
for a second, then streaked out of sight. Beep beep!
